Forbury Gardens

Forbury Gardens, Reading, Berkshire, South East England, GB, UK. A popular park in Reading town centre, Forbury Gardens is home to the famous Maiwand Lion, a sculpture and war memorial to commemorate the deaths of 329 men from the 66th (Berkshire) Regiment of Foot during the campaign in Afghanistan between 1878 and 1880. © Danny Callcut.
